1. Who we are
BIBS is provided by IORDAN ROBERT-ADRIAN PERSOANA FIZICA AUTORIZATA (a Romanian sole trader), Tax ID (CIF) 51961705, Trade Register No. F202501276007, registered office at Strada Baia de Arama, Nr. 1, Bl. B2, Corp B2, Etaj 5, Ap. 28, Sector 2, Bucuresti, Romania, email support@getbibs.app (“we”, “BIBS”).
2. Accepting these terms
By creating an account or using the BIBS app you accept these terms and the Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the app. The terms are always available on this page and you can save or print them.
3. Definitions
- Team - a private football group created in BIBS (for example “Five-a-side with work mates”).
- Admin+ - the team owner: creates and runs the team and manages its subscription.
- Admin - a member appointed by the Admin+ to help organise (lists, ratings, sides, announcements).
- Player - a regular team member.
- User content - any text or image added by users: names, nicknames, profile pictures, team names and logos, ideas, requests, announcements, invitation messages, guest player names.
4. Your account
- You must be at least 16 years old to create an account.
- You provide accurate information, keep your password confidential and are responsible for activity in your account. If you suspect unauthorised access, change your password and sign out your devices from your Profile, then tell us.
- Your account is personal and cannot be transferred.
- You can delete your account at any time in the app (More → Your profile → Account → Delete your account). See Account deletion.
5. The service
BIBS helps you organise amateur football in private groups: teams and invitations, weekly signup lists, skill ratings, balanced side generation, coin toss, match clock, history and stats, announcements and notifications. We may improve, change or withdraw features over time; if a change significantly affects a paid subscription, we will tell you in advance and, where applicable, you may terminate. We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability, but we make reasonable efforts to keep the service working and secure.
6. Beta period
BIBS is currently a free beta: all features are available at no charge and in-app purchases are not active. During the beta, bugs and more frequent changes may occur.
We will notify you in the app and/or by email at least 30 days before paid subscriptions start. Teams existing at that time will receive a free 30-day trial counted from the switch date. Nothing is charged automatically: a subscription only starts if you choose to buy one. If you do not buy, the team becomes read-only at the end of the trial and its data stays available.
For a limited time after the switch to paid plans, the Admin+ of a team created during the beta may receive a founders offer in the app. The terms of the offer (price, length and any free period) are shown in the app and in the store before purchase; a subscription bought this way follows the rules in section 7.
7. Auto-renewable subscriptions
After the beta, a team's organising features require an active subscription or a running trial. A subscription is bought for a team (not for a person) and unlocks features for all members of that team.
- Subscription title: BIBS - team subscription (the exact name is shown in the App Store / Google Play).
- Length: 1 month or 1 year, depending on the option chosen at purchase; the length is shown before you confirm.
- Price: the price per period is shown in the app and in the store before purchase, in your local currency, including applicable taxes.
- Payment: charged to your Apple ID or Google Play account at confirmation of purchase. Payments are processed exclusively by Apple or Google; we never receive your card details.
- Auto-renewal: the subscription renews automatically for the same length and price unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your account will be charged for renewal within 24 hours before the end of the current period.
- Managing and cancelling: you can manage your subscription and turn off auto-renewal at any time in your store account settings: on iPhone, Settings → [your name] → Subscriptions; on Android, Google Play → Profile → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions. After cancelling, access continues until the end of the period already paid. Uninstalling the app or deleting your BIBS account does not cancel the subscription.
- BIBS trial: a new team receives, once, a free 30-day trial on activation. This trial requires no payment details and does not convert automatically into a paid subscription.
- Store free trial: if the store offers a free trial or introductory price at purchase, the subscription automatically converts into a paid subscription at its end unless you cancel at least 24 hours before. Any unused portion of a free trial period is forfeited when you purchase a subscription.
- Price changes: we will inform you in advance through the store and/or in the app, in line with Apple's and Google's rules; where the store's rules require it, a new price only applies with your consent.
- Refunds: handled by Apple or Google under their policies. We cannot issue refunds for store purchases. Apple: reportaproblem.apple.com; Google Play: Google Play refund help.
- Right of withdrawal: if you are a consumer, you have the rights provided by Romanian Government Emergency Ordinance 34/2014 (implementing Directive 2011/83/EU); for store purchases, requests go to Apple or Google under their procedures.
- Restore: you can restore an existing subscription from the team's subscription screen in the app.
- Who pays: usually the Admin+. The subscription stays tied to the store account of the person who bought it; if you hand the team over, cancel your subscription in the store if you no longer want to pay.
- Expiry: if the subscription expires, or payment fails after the store's grace period, the team becomes read-only: the data stays, but organising features are paused until reactivation.
8. User content
You keep your rights in the content you add. You grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence, for as long as the content is in BIBS, to store, reproduce and display it to members of the relevant teams, strictly to provide the service. You confirm that you have the right to use the content (for example, that your profile picture shows you or you have the person's consent, and that your team logo does not infringe anyone's rights) and that it complies with these terms and the law.
9. Reporting, blocking and moderation
We do not tolerate abusive content or behaviour. In BIBS:
- Reporting: you can report a member (from the squad list), an idea or the team name and logo (from More) right in the app, choosing a reason; the report reaches the team admins and the BIBS team. You can report anything else from More → Report abuse or a problem, or by writing to support@getbibs.app with the team name and a description (who, which content, when). You can also tell the team admins.
- Blocking a user: you can block any member of your teams; you no longer see their ideas, rating requests, nickname and picture, and their actions no longer send you notifications. They are not told. You can unblock them at any time from your profile.
- Removal from a team: admins can remove a member at any time, revoke invitations and change or reset the join code; a removed member can no longer see the team. You can leave a team at any time from the app.
- Moderation: we review reports and act on content that breaches these terms within 24 hours: we remove the content and, where appropriate, suspend or block the account that posted it. We tell you about the decision and the reasons, and you can appeal by replying to our email.
10. Acceptable use
You must not use BIBS for:
- illegal, defamatory, harassing, threatening, discriminatory or obscene content, or content inciting hatred or violence;
- sexual content or any content that exploits or endangers minors (see Child safety);
- impersonating another person or using other people's pictures without consent;
- publishing other people's personal data without a right to do so (addresses, phone numbers, health data);
- spam, unsolicited advertising or invitations to people unconnected with the group;
- betting, gambling or collecting money through the app;
- accessing other people's accounts or teams without permission, circumventing technical or payment limits, probing for vulnerabilities without our consent, scraping, or decompiling except where the law allows;
- overloading or disrupting the service.
11. Admin responsibilities
Admin+ and Admins organise the group and have access to more data. They agree:
- to invite only people who belong to the group and are at least 16, and to add guest players with only the information strictly needed (e.g. a first name), letting them know;
- to use skill ratings only to balance sides, respectfully, and not to disclose them outside the app;
- to use announcements and notifications only for group activity;
- to handle members' requests and ideas in good faith and step in against abusive behaviour in the team;
- the Admin+ manages the team's subscription and, before deleting their account, must hand the team over or archive it.
Arrangements between members (for example sharing the pitch cost, booking the pitch, group rules) are solely between them; BIBS is not a party to them.
12. Sporting activity
BIBS is an organising tool. We do not organise the games, run the pitches or check players' health. You take part in sporting activity at your own risk; make sure you are fit to play. The clock and statistics are for information.
13. Intellectual property
The app, the website, the BIBS name and logo, design and code belong to us (IORDAN ROBERT-ADRIAN PERSOANA FIZICA AUTORIZATA) or our licensors. We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use the app on your devices under these terms and the rules of the store you downloaded it from.
14. iOS terms (Apple)
If you downloaded BIBS from the App Store, the Apple Standard End User License Agreement (Apple Standard EULA) also applies in addition to these terms: https://www.apple.com/legal/internet-services/itunes/dev/stdeula/. In addition:
- these terms are between you and IORDAN ROBERT-ADRIAN PERSOANA FIZICA AUTORIZATA, not Apple; Apple is not responsible for the app or its content;
- Apple has no obligation to provide maintenance or support for the app;
- if the app fails to conform to an applicable warranty, you may notify Apple, which may refund the purchase price of the app, if any; to the extent permitted by law, Apple has no other warranty obligation;
- we, not Apple, are responsible for any claims relating to the app (including product liability, consumer protection or third-party intellectual property claims);
- you represent that you are not located in a country subject to a U.S. Government embargo and are not on any U.S. Government list of prohibited or restricted parties;
- Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these terms and, once you accept them, may enforce them against you.
15. Android terms (Google Play)
If you downloaded BIBS from Google Play, purchases are also governed by the Google Play Terms of Service. Google is not a party to these terms.
16. Suspension and termination
You may stop using BIBS and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or close an account or team, or remove content, if you seriously or repeatedly breach these terms, if the law requires it, or to protect other users; where possible we will notify you in advance and explain why. If we shut down the service entirely, we will give at least 30 days' notice and, for paid and unused periods, help you obtain a refund through the store, as required by law.
17. Warranties and liability
We provide BIBS with professional care and diligence. If you are a consumer, you benefit from the legal guarantee of conformity for digital content and services (Romanian GEO 141/2021, implementing Directive (EU) 2019/770) and other rights that the law does not allow to be limited; nothing in these terms restricts them.
To the extent permitted by law:
- we are not liable for content posted by users, for arrangements between members, or for injuries and damage during sporting activity;
- we are not liable for interruptions caused by third-party providers (Apple, Google, networks, hosting) or by force majeure;
- our total liability to you over any 12-month period is limited to the amounts you paid for BIBS in that period; during the free beta, this limit is RON 100.
These limitations do not apply to damage caused intentionally or by gross negligence, to death or personal injury, or in any other case where the law prohibits limiting liability.
18. Changes to these terms
We may change these terms for legal, technical or business reasons. We will notify you of significant changes in the app or by email at least 30 days before they take effect. If you do not agree, you may stop using the service and delete your account; continuing to use it after the effective date means you accept the new terms.
19. Governing law
These terms are governed by Romanian law. If you are a consumer resident in another EU Member State, you keep the protection of the mandatory provisions of the law of your country. Disputes are settled by the competent courts of Romania; as a consumer you may also sue us in the courts of your place of residence.
20. Dispute resolution
Please write to us first at support@getbibs.app; we try to resolve any complaint within 30 days.
As a consumer, you can file a complaint with the Romanian National Authority for Consumer Protection (ANPC) - anpc.ro - and use alternative dispute resolution (ADR / SAL) under Government Ordinance 38/2015: anpc.ro/ce-este-sal. The EU Online Dispute Resolution (ODR) platform was discontinued as of 20 July 2025 by Regulation (EU) 2024/3228 and can no longer be used.
